The Megger TDR500/3 is a handheld Time Domain Reflectometer used for locating faults on metallic power and data cables. With a maximum range of 5km (depending on velocity factor and type of cable) and a minimum resolution of 0.1m, the TDR500/3 is perfectly suited for fast and accurate fault finding in the field. Unlike many other cable fault locators on the market, straightforward and intuitive operation is ensured through the 4-way control dial and simple selection option, complete with added Auto selection feature that automatically selects the most effective testing parameters. The Megger TDR500/3 has a Hold feature that allows the user to retain a trace onscreen. In addition, the unit has a built in power blocking filter while the fast pulse feature allows faults that are less than 1m from the point of connection to be detected.
