The mid-range model in the series, the new inclusions are 100V insulation testing, true RMS voltage measurements, mV sensor input and type B RCD compatibility. The tester is fully suitable for use in all low voltage electrical installations, including those found in domestic, commercial and industrial environments.

Megger's MFT1721 is the next-generation version of the highly popular mid-range tester, the MFT1720. It features a large, bright LCD display which shows dual parameters (loop resistance/fault current or insulation resistance/test voltage) and dual-testing buttons on either side for easy test activation.

You can work confidently and safely with the MFT1721; this tester include IP54 protection against dust and water damage, a rubber-moulded grip for extra protection and easier holding and is EN 61010 CAT IV safety rated. It also comes with class-leading input protection to ensure it can withstand accidental misconnections or voltage transients which may damage other testers without this capability.

The MFT1721 is packed full of testing functions including insulation with selectable test voltage, continuity and resistance testing at 200mA and 15mA, several loop testing functions, multiple RCD tests on AC, A, S, type B and programmable RCDs and other features such as phase rotation indication and leakage current measurements.
