DeWalt’s XR Flexvolt system has introduced a range of 54v power tools which offer exceptional performance and runtime, enabling the mobile user to reliably undertake heavy duty applications without need for mains power. As well as providing the high voltages necessary for these new tools, Flexvolt batteries are also backwards compatible with the DeWalt XR 18v Lithium Ion system, letting you share a single battery platform between a huge variety of cordless tools.
The DCS397 is a 54v alligator saw which is perfect for cutting through porous or fibrous construction materials such as aerated concrete and insulation; it has dual saw blades running in opposite directions along the length of the 430mm blade which keeps the workpiece from jumping or moving while being sawn, and provides a fast and efficient method for cutting deep blocks or rolls of material down to size.
A high power brushless motor provides optimum energy transfer from 54v Flexvolt batteries, and delivers increased life expectancy and lack of maintenance compared to brushed alternatives. Further enhancing the DCS397's durability in jobsite environments, the gearcase and bearings are dust sealed for protection against particle ingress.
