The XS range is an offer of inductive proximity sensors for the detection of metal objects up to 60mm without physical contact. The oscillator produces an alternating electromagnetic field that exits the detection area of the sensor. Any metallic object penetrating this field is then detected. This general purpose cubic case (40 x 40 x 117mm) inductive proximity sensor is made of plastic and it is non flush mountable. Its nominal sensing distance is 20mm, it supports 1 normally open + 1 normally closed PNP discrete output and it has a switching frequency of 300Hz. It works in a temperature range of -25°C and +70°C, it is dustproof, resistant to water jets (IP65), waterproof (IP67), resists high pressure and steam cleaning (IP69K). It is made of plastic. It measures 40mm (length) x 117mm (width) x 40mm (depth) and weighs 0.244kg. It can operate in very cold (-25°C) and hot environments (+70°C). This inductive proximity sensor is particularly suitable for the use on a mobile equipment. This sensor is certified UL, CSA, CCC, TÜV, and E2. The main advantage of the inductive detection offered by the sensors of the XS range is that there is no physical contact with the object to be detected.
