Spanjaard Graphite Spray SPANJ-GRAPHITE-400ML SPR

Spanjaard Graphite Spray is a dispersion of very fine particles of graphite in an air drying resin. It provides lubrication when oils and greases cannot be used. It is available in an aerosol spray.

Applications

- Protective Coating

It prevents corrosion during shipping and storage. Thus expensive parts can be protected from rust and are prelubricated, ready for immediate use.

- High Temperature Lubrication

It provides a stable lubricating film at temperatures of -180C to 350C. Even though resin breakdown starts at this temperature, the Graphite continues to act as a dry lubricant up to 450C.

- Dry Lubrication

It is the answer when problems are caused by the application of conventional wet lubricants and provides dry lubrication in dusty conditions.

Application Instruction
1. Check compatibility of solvents contained in Spanjaard Graphite Spray by testing on a small hidden area of surface to be sprayed.2. Thoroughly degrease the component to be treated, preferably with a safety solvent, e.g. Spanjaard Electric Motor Cleaner which leave no residue.
3. Shake the aerosol can vigorously and apply one or more thin layers of Spanjaard Graphite Spray allow ing 3 minutes drying for each coat. 
4. After aerosol coating, wait 24 hours for the resin to cure at room temperature or cure at 250C for one hour.

Note
Phosphating or grit blasting after degreasing increases the ability of the Spanjaard Graphite Spray to bond to the surface of the component.
